Or an improvised hot knife (the better solution). Most SMODs don't publish measurements, they just build them and expect you to buy from the current builder. If a UK sailmaker can make a profit on 'training sails' for a certain popular dinghy it seems likely that the manufacturer is milking the margins a bit.......

Assuming your L2 has the original 2 piece mast, would a complete rig from a suitable donor class be a possible idea?  dunno what that class would be, mind!   maybe N12, Lark, something like that?

If I get the chance I'll measure a suit of N12 sails I bought as a Spice "silly wind" rig..... But they are down at the club so it'll be a couple of weeks...... N12 mains seem to have a very short luff comported to the leech measurement, looks distinctly odd to me but, in pics, they don't appear to have a droopy boom to match the dangly pole............

Cool. will add to the list later. If a mod thinks it's worth a sticky I'll post the list in here and update it as I get more measurements? I think it would be useful for those of us trying to keep old boats and particularly "lost class's" up and sailing.

Converting my imperial measurements to metric, Enterprise sails will fit, most of the measurements are in centre of tolerances, just the Enterprise lens foot to deal with, had another look, should be an easy remove, or try it with it in place ?
Stanage,
If you want to try a set of Enterprise sails ? You are more than welcome to a set, would have to be picked up from my club, just off junction 2 M5.

If there was no better option, you could put some small eyelets along the lens foot and tie it to the boom every 6 inches?
A bit retro, but would stop it flapping.

Eric_c,
Good point, similar to bottom of Mirror mainsail.
