Not necessary given nobody in my world cares what any of you think anyway.

There has been a few sports sciencey studies on hiking over the years, often concluding it's a bad idea.
I'm not sure if Jon Emmett or Steve Cockerill are still following this board, however they seem to have also done some proper science homework on the subject too. Jon led the NP hiker development, and I think we all know Steve's involvement in producing excellent kit (albeit with a naff enough logo to prevent a few of us buying it) I was interested in Dan Holman's comment on that D1 photo Nessa posted, I do often wonder if uncorrected bad technique is the reason why my knees are utterly shot now. ![]() really, it just can't be good for you.... check this poor fella out, he's about to split his sack. ![]() |

There right there..
Clearly illustrated.. perfectly encapsulated in two disgusting images... .... everything that's wrong with the sport.

hahaha... Mr Harris, you're on of those old boys who thinks teaching kids sail boat racing should be about fun and having a laugh, not elite athleticism and squad systems aren't you.... how quaint.
