Its the new Aero12 Ns14. The class tries to ban rise ofloor bumps after they appeared a few years ago. The rules were tightened to ban them, but may be this is a clever way round it, or its on the same thinkibg as MedwayManiac?

I put something very similar on my (no-doubt-never-to-be-built) lightweight keelboat design. The idea there was water release when planing without paying the wetted area penalty of a full chine. |

Having teething problems with the fit of my sails.
Talking to some other lofts about some new jibs. The boat is basically there apart from the sails, but even so it is unlikely to hit the water until next season. As it is going to be far to cold to learn how to sail her over the winter with my 12 year old. It might get a trip out in the clam stuff. I shall be spending time building my sons helming skills in the Mirror over winter. In as much breeze as possible. Like yesterday.  |
