I love the landy defender, however it really isn't ideal fr the 9 hour drive to weymouth and it only does 80...down a hill... with a following wind...

For true credibility the boat must cost more than the car though. Ideal combo is a brand new *insert class of choice here* with all the best gear, towed behind a knackered old van with a mattress in the back cos you can't afford a b&b!

Hmm, I think you might know me or something: car: £505 on ebay (does 55+mpg even towing). It's too small to sleep in the back trailer: £850ish (husband won't tell me as he's a bit embarressed about amount he managed to spend while unsupervised at Welsh Harp boat: err £8000 ish? Haven't finished totting up all the receipts yet |
