South Coast Laser Circuit, Sailfest @ WPNSA, club racing and coaching at HHSC.  Hopefully get my hips sorted so I can actually hike properly again.

Fairly quiet year really.  Just waiting to get to the masters circuit (few more years to go) when will start travelling a bit more again as have very little interest in the Q's anymore.

Birthday Bike Ride the traditional get go for a new season has been postponed to Apr5th this year due to extreme weather induced depression, no sailing appears to be planned by our sailing club for Easter either so the Alto will wait a little longer, going to the annual dinner dance of my new lake club this saturday and will sail hungover the following day after due gangham style dancing diligence..

Not sure when the windsurf racing starts tried to get in the club last night to sort my rig out but alzheimers has removed the door entry code, so will have to attempt that again this weekend.

Got a kitesurfing Mauritius trip for later in April and I may end up a born again kiter if I like some of the new stuff we have on offer this year.

Have a wizard wheeze planned for the Alto, saw it on the Icon, a sort of dangling pole that hangs down which I reckon I could fit to the Alto to goose wing the kite, I'm thinking crank the wing wang hard over AND the dangly pole the kite and we could dead run all over that Merlin if conditions are such that we can't blitz them by reaching hot. Going to get a new kite and maybe a new main for this season.

So all in all lots to look forward to if ever the bloody sky stops falling on me..

Just got to snap out of this gloomy mood, with any luck I'll meet up with that nice Auntie Stella over the weekend she generally offers an answer at the bottom....

read the "RS Square Running System" thread for something of a second opinion on that front. Also, hope you feel better soon.

Like Mark C, all booked up for the B14 Euros and Worlds in July. Going out a few days early- the Tour de France goes to St Malo a couple of days before the euros, so it should be fun to go see that.

(and lots of road cycling. I'm not a slim bloke. I'm doing the RideLondonSurrey 100 two weeks after the worlds. I need to get practice in...)

Last year stuff got in the way, very expensive year moving house etc.

This year, time to sail on Wednesday nights, a few cruise sails to the IOW, and race as often as possible on the sea.

Doesn't the Alto pole come back far enough to work pretty well as is?

My mission for this year is firstly to hope for some F4 open meetings instead of F6.
Also to have a go in a few different boats.
There are a few boats in the 'things to try before I'm 50' list.

Now that the consultant has kindly informed me not to sail my 700 until after my next MRI in August, I'm a bit stumped!!!

He did however say I could sail something a little less extreme as long as I was extremely careful not to bang my head. So it looks like its going to be a year in the Grad!

Not really got past planning a coaching weekend this weekend (won't be very summer-like), but the cvrda National Rally and Minisail Nationals at Hunts in August are inked in, as are the Lightnings (though they are in the autumn.... Mostly I'll be teaching Juniors, I'd think, and then hoping for a long, sunny summer holiday with the kids, maybe in Brittany with a boat or 2.

Oh!  The minisails are coming as well!  I think I knew that.....but they are welcome anyway!

this summer I am undergoing ordeal by sailing asessment courtesy of the rya, if that goes well I'm going on to attempt the coach assessor course, if not....

we have lots of courses on, an open day coming up, the kids' summer sprint series is running again, plus there's Boat Camp - a new thing for us.  Then there's a Challenger open at Grafham Sailability and the cvrda national rally.

Never a dull moment!
the same, but different...
