It'll have to be a lot more convenient than at present, that's for sure. Currently I'd rate it more like windsurfing than dinghy sailing in its appeal.

I don't actually know. From the degree of indstrialisation in the windsurf world I'd expect they were huge, but that may be past-tense.

Put another way, how many windsurfers do you see out on the water these days? We are largely concerned with our own back yard, i guess (it's not our fault if most of the rest of the world hasn't noticed that dinghies exist).

Looks like a planing step, such as used on hydroplanes. Apparently giving up on sub-planing performance completely.

I thought they only work at very high speeds. Like
20kts+ or summat so most of the time it is gonna be
dragging like a b**tard.
