I think its very appropriate to fit stabilisers to a Cherub.

After all we all had stabilisers on our bikes when we were little kids..

I couldn't agree more. I also regularly sh*t myself when I sail one. That's something else I use to do as a kid.

Hey guys, lets see you put something up here then, something you've put together. It's pretty easy to chuck stones when your opponents got nothing to shoot at.

As you always wish for an assymetric boat that can run deep and sail in the big seas you experience GRF, why don't you with your vast experience from the windsurfing world design a boat yourself before slating somebody else who has?

sailing in big seas in high performance boats is just a matter of practice. you just have to get used to not pushing quite so hard and planning a little further ahead for how to get around each wave. and when you do get it cracked its an awesome feeling. it just takes a loonnng time to crack it.
600 732, will call it Sticks and Stones when i get round to it.

Well as it happens Ne ill (In finest Rik Mayall Young Ones Accent)I am
designing some thing a bit new and different, but its a board rather than
a boat and something to travel probably twice as fast as some lame ass
12 ft over powered Junk sled with a valentines heart on the sail.

If i wanted to travel as slow as a Cherub, I'd design an anchor to chuck
out the back of my long board, maybe even tow a bucket.

As it happens we're all shooting for something to break 50 knots rather
than twenty, if it works I'll post some pics, you can maybe tell your grand
children I once wrote to you, if it doesn't well I might bore you with it
anyway.

Because it's not going to be a flat lump of plastic, it's going to be a sort
of mini - micro cat. Two very narrow hulls with a mast track suspended
between them.

I'm going to make them hollow from marine ply, I think I might have
solved the water getting in problem by using kite bladders, inflate them
inside the hulls.

I might also have a solution for fin drag, by using twin discs, which will
also solve the other issue, enabling it to be sailed in the very shallow
water where it's at its flattest.

Might being the operable word, in wont happen until i build it.
