yes.
I use one every week to secure the main halyard to the shroud (so it doesn't flap against the mast)

A rolling hitch was essential where I grew up, to attach your pulling boat to your frape.

Frape now has a very different and wider usage which could get a little confusing

But sculling was de rigour then too, like this (no that's not me)

Used to be able not sure if I can. Turks head? piece of p*ss but can you tie one with a rosette(not sure if I can anymore)

I can scull (or I could), and even tie a rolling hitch - but a turks head? No way - I remember my father once spending most of a winter teaching himself how to tie one (blame my mother giving him the Ashley Book of Knots for Xmas!)

How about a Hangman's noose and other useful knotty tools for the Solo fleet.

Sheetbend?
Reef
Bowline (everyone must know this one)
Figure eight (ditto)?

all in my and most windsurfers arsenal of useful rope tools I'm sure..

not forgetting the Granny of course.
