You know - you go to a newsagents and look at the magazine rack. How do they sell magazines to blokes - they put scantily clad young ladies on the front cover. How do they sell magazines to women - they still put scantily clad young women on the cover. ...nothing to do with 'portray of women as nothing more than sexual objects' - just simple aesthetics...
And Coke Zero at BOGOF is still wrong...not to mention all those artificial sweeteners that just do my head and digestion system in completely. |

Ahh - the 4 1/2 grand gamble...the missus not really liking sailing must be contagious...my missus recently confessed she "isn't really a water person" - OK this was after whale watching in Brisbane or more accurately sitting on a large boat in 3 - 4m swell for 3 hours pretending to drift after a whale. After this epic drif the captain announced that there was another whale back upwind of us, turned round and went into the waves at about 25kts followed by all but 3 people on the boat chundering massively - one minute later we were heading back to port! I have to say Jo did stick at it for a while - including one Tasar nationals with morning sickness and the following one with a 4 1/2month old breast feeding (now that is when you need a quick exit zip on the dry suit - BNS will explain) and I still got to buy the 29er. But I haven't had a jaffa cake since last christmas...withdrawal symptoms are starting to hurt! And what is it with Coke zero? its just like coke - but without any of the reasons for drinking coke! |

just reading through that and spotted CADBURY"S MILK Chocoloate Jaffa Cake...that has to be cruelty to jaffa cakes and punishable by death... what is the world coming to? And TT in a Vareo now too - how did that happen! |

Is that what they are charging down south now? Drink has always been more expensive there. Come to BYC, it's only £2 a pint! And the effects are just the same. (You don't just find black runs in the alps.) Good to see you have a new boat TT. How is she? |

And beer is always good after jaffa cakes! Word of advice from one who knows. If you are going to imbibe large quantities of Guinness, invest in the Aloe Vera Andrex. It's worth the little extra when Guinness-Bum hits you the next morning. |
