Just been confirmed. The event has been cancelled due to lack of funding. A real pity, I was looking forward to it. Hopefully due to run in 2007 |

Hi Folks I'm a Hurricane SX sailor on the SNECCA circuit. Unfortunately, I am 99% certain that the Loch Ness Monster race has been cancelled this year. Apparently down to funding problems (not sure of details). The good news however is that it may return next year. Lets hope so as it was a truly awesome event. P.S. The SNECCA website hasn't been updated for a while but I believe it will be soon. |

AS far as i know the race is going ahead I will get confirmation from those in the know and give a definative yes or no either later today or tomorrow And yes i live in the arctic circle. |

apparently the race is having the same probs as the round the island i.e lack of sponsers! i think there was a thread on this before! |

Toby As far as I am aware it's happening over the August Bank holiday weekend. No more detail than that. I'm planning on doing the hurricane Nats the weekend before then pootling up to scotland to sail the tornado in the monster race |
