Thats definatley a 500 - the Vareo has an arch that the mast goes through, and it doesnt have a spinaker chute as such .. it just goes straight out of the bag.

Oh dear. Joke backfired.  ....... yes it's an RS500 I'm sure. 

But the RS500 hull seems to be a vareo hull adapted to take a jib. They have the same construction and the RS500 is, I think, 3 inches longer (slightly different bow?) but exactly the same width.

Does seem RS rushed out a single trap boat based on the vareo instead of designing a new hull.  Shame, as hulls designed for hiking boats usually aren't ideal for trapezing off and they used to produce some real niche innovations ie the RS200, 300 and 600.

BTW not trying to restart that endless RS500 thread again!
