I last saw the Tiger Moth out at Stonehaven a couple of years ago,  Have not heard anything about it since. It has a long narrow rounded bottom hull with wings, trapize, asymetric and was pretty light weight.

It needed quite a lot of work done to it and they were talking about putting a 4000 rig on it to replace the rather tired sails that it had

I think this is an old picture of it

If it doesn't break it's too heavy; if it does it wasn't built right

Go here for the answer to your very thin twin wire boat question, you
might just find that Isis is right....

My bad in that case... I know its in Paul Hignets garage being restored at the moment, I assumed that had been the case for a number of years and id not heard of it getting out and about.

His name was dave as far as i can remember, nice guy! lol. It looked like a pretty speedy piece of engineering, but it also looked very tired!!!! it seemed it was a boat that could have done with a bit more development to make it easier (and not so breakable ). I'm not sure there was a big enough market for that type of boat though, hence its downfall, reminds me of an M-X-Ray in that way. I would have one for a project though

I think what you mean to say is..... boats like the Tiger Moth and MX-Ray
were ahead of there time and the public wasn't ready for them.

It's a problem that ture blue sky thinking designers have from time to
time. They have to wait for everyone else to catch up.
