Hmmm... the quest for more rag isnt really satisfied by a slightly bigger jib...
What you should be asking is how big a kite can I cram on this before certain death?

Well have replaced the original jib with an old wayfarer jib which i found lying around so more rag has pretty much been as exploited as possible. And will re-add the trapeze wires again.

Im assuming your not looking at staying in class?

Ways to make things faster...
Loose weight (probibly not an option here)
More rag (always an option)
More righting moment (expand the beam, add racks, more wires)
And a good old fashioned bit of boat tuning and time on the water might do the trick too :)

It would be if it was a Hobie 14 , but is is a classic Hobie 18.  I think it is a snapshot from the free as the wind Hobie video which shows wave jumping and people water skiing off the back of the 18's

I am a keen dinghy sailor (sorry). Have recentely gained acces to a Hobie 14. Any insight on how to make it go faster and generally how to sail a cat would be most helpfull.
