any large town or city or geographical point of interest.  Norwich should be on there - isn't it?

[/QUOTE]

Is the picture resolution different for different places, or am I doing it wrong? I've just tried it and I can't get anything like that resolution for where I live.

If you live anywhere important the resolution will be good but most ordinary towns are just blobbed out.

Yes its mine and yes it works, Its not as quick as we want in light winds, the hulls are relatively short and fat (compared to a cat) so it has a pronounced wave drag until you get it over 7 knots. It sails well. It is very stable, you can sail down wind sitting on the bows and it doesn't want to pitchpoll at all. The hope is that the massive stability you get by having a low centre of effort in the sails and lots of bouyancy in the corners should give you the ability to carry enough extra power to get you over the wave drag hump. We haven't had it out in strong enough winds to prove this theory yet.

The version of the boat posted doesn't have the folding mechanism on, but we did build a full size folding one and the mechanism worked. However it was getting a bit heavy to pop onto your roof rack in one go. We found it was easier to break the boat down so that each hull could be lifted on seperatly.

You say it "has already provoked a few reactions on this forum" I have not come across those and couldn't find them in the search can you recall where they were?

More testing is needed this year in between my marathon training see http://www.yachtsandyachting.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1 433&PN=1

Thanks

Is that yours?  Is it fast?  I reckon it needs a massive spinnaker on the front.  And does that dodgy four hull thing actually work?
