Carshalton is on the money - it is a new Bethwaite design to bring sportsboat performance sailing to disabled sailors and from what I have heard dribbling out of the ISAF conference that is going on in the hotel next to my work the boat has been selected to be the new keelboat for the paralympic games.

It started life as a design commission for Julian but he now has two months to get production into full swing...

They can't get it on the water until Gul have finished designing their new sailing kit to match their Tron-inspired boat. (Some of the younger contributors to this forum may well not remember Tron, let's just say that upwind and down Will and Lucy will be tacking and gybing through angles of precisley 90 degrees, and if you try to duck their transom your boat will be vaporised...)

They went for the first fitting of their new kit the other day, Gul have released this picture as they reckon this could represent the way forward in skiff clothing in 2006...
