How about meeting somewhere on the south coast, it might save you a few quid in fuel !!

Nice photos and good to see PG again, but you should be looking at the sails rather than smiling at the camera.

Haven't heard from Brys for ages, does anyone know whether he still has a P762 ?

We're smiling at the camera because that's the finish line and there are a whole bunch of boats behind us... Including Pink Gin.  There was a whole lot of sail watching going on earlier to get into that position!

I think I'm correct in saying that Brys and Slop Idol might be related??

We were out on Pink Fizz last tuesday not really that windy 20 knots ish but enought to get up and go. We had a course with a fairly tight reach and were the only boat in our class to fly the kite. We ended up flying up to circa 15 knots and winning by a country mile, and yes there was mutterings in the bar afterwards about the 762 being banished to the sportsboat class. A very poor idea as the sportsboat class in Falmouth is all but virtually dead. Poor form from other member of IRC fleet not to fly the kite me thinks.

Still we are looking forward to meeting our new play mate on tuesday as Daniel T has made the long trip to Belfast to pick up Longshot and bring her back to Falmouth. As Garth says this makes 3 in the port and more people keen to see more of them.....Bring on the Winter gales of the Frostbite series`s.!!!!

Hi Oli I must say since racing against you last in 2000 during the RB cadet week would be good to catch up again. Falmouth week is not a bad idea but Dartmouth week is a better week. It is held over the august bank holiday running from Thursday to Sunday, this leaves time for any visiting Projections to trail or sail to the event and leaves the bank hol monday to get home again, and does not use up everyone`s valuable holiday quite so much. Also it is slightly closer to the rest of the UK and arguably better racing compared to Falmouth week, which is the week after Cowes.

On another note we were out in Big Purple last night ending up being a bit of a hairy session, flying into one spectacular gybe @ 16 knots whilst being hit with a 35 knot gust makes for an interesting time! Garth expertly set a great course being OOD, but most satisfying was beating J109, J92 and Corby 29 over the water by 5 mins in a 56 minute race!!!

We would be happy to make the trip to Dartmouth and it's a bit closer to Scotland & Kent.  I wonder if we could get our own class if we got 6 plus boats together, otherwise join in IRC3.  If we can get enough interest, I will make some enquiries with the organisers and look for a sponsor.

Mike, good job the vis was poor last night and I didn't see the wipe-out from the Committee Boat - the cheque book would have been worried.

dartmouth would be a good one to do.  burnham week organisers have said we could have our own starts if 6 or more turned up.
