Some forums I go on have a button where you can directly insert a link to a youtube vid ie it comes up with the first frame and the play button, so you don't have to navigate away to see the vid.

Also, how about a little FAQ/Guide section so people can work out how to do hyperlinks, post pics etc?

OK I'll start. 

Uploading Pictures.  Pictures on the web should be jpg format, sometimes called jpeg.  This refers to the 3 letter extension to the file name which in Windows can be configured to be hidden from you.  This is a picture format which compresses pictures so that the file size is not so big.  If you are going to upload a picture onto the Y&Y forum it has to be 200kB maximum so use a jpg format.  If your picture is not a jpg then open it in your picture editing software and save it again as a jpg.

While you've got your picture editor open you should also resize your picture so that it is about 1000 pixels wide or high - anything larger than that is likely to spill over the edge on some peoples screen.

 

Having said all that please do upload pictures  - we don't get enough.
