You will never get anyone here to be positive about roto moulded boat. They have there good points, maintenance free and robust. To call it a modern skiff is a stretch,  unofficially PY 1170 so you are well behind the solos and even further behind Lasers. It does have a roomy cockpit for its type and has a degree of flexibility it terms of rig etc. Covid has completely messed up the second hand market, good boats are hard to get and top $$$ and once things normalise deprecation might be eye watering. It 100% depends on what sort of sailing you want to do, how much he is asking, state of boat etc etc. But if he wants £1500 for it you keep it for a year and sell it for £1000 it’s only cost £42 a month a little over  two pints a week down here, ignoring club fees etc. sums change if you need to buy new sails.
