Spot on Peter, Mongrel and Boots.

I don't know why some people assume that in paying Class Assoc or Club Membership fees they are buying a service as a customer. In my view in most, apart the most commercial end of the spectrum, all that is being bought is the right to join in a group that is run mostly by volunteers.

not being able to prove we're still mid-fleet capable in a noddy class isn't really the biggest issue right now is it?

Most of the noise is coming from the 'Immuners' let's hope Covid doesn't do a 'Spanish Flu' and go after younger people, will hear a few 'bleating' then.

Whilst having some sympathy with locals in areas where people like to have a second home I think we can all rest assured that the homes that are in the "second home" bracket are not and never will be social housing.

Ah. But it's a ripple.

The nice 2 bed cottage that I buy for £300k as my second home, should have cost £150k

So the couple with £150k are priced out so have to buy a 2 bed semi that should have cost £100k.

The young professional who has £100k now can't buy that so buys a flat for £100k that should cost £60k.

The £60k flat should have been social housing...

I nearly bought an island not that long ago for £350k. I couldn't buy a 1 bed flat in London for that.

We have just had events cancelled on us shortly after having them confirmed as on. This was due to a change in the local Covid infection rates and the club feeling they could no longer host or encourage people to travel. This is fair enough.

Well they may not be "social housing" now, but many certainly used to be!
