The appeal of the streaker is that it hasn’t gone down the carbon route.

I've seen the carbon boom..

The Carbon boom winds me up also ‘it won’t make any difference’ they say, ‘just make the class seam more modern’ it will make a difference during heavy weather Gybes. Not dropping the rig is a big competitive advantage, not to mention the only time over weight me and old woodie have a chance against lightweights in their plastic fantastics.

I can't wait, it's got a carbon rig of course... I mean it's a lightweights boat, why wouldn't a brand new super quick Streaker in 2019 not have a carbon rig?

Going without a stand to man this year on Saturday. Looking forward to wandering around bumping into old friends.

I went last year, is there likely to be much difference year to year or is it a better experience to go every few years to really see big changes in the sport?

I really enjoy it, a bit of a show victim me, there's always stuff to see, some to marvel at others to chuckle about, sometime old sailing friends and acquaintances to run into and I usually always miss something even though I think I've 'done' the whole room. My ex windsurfing buddy Dee Caldwell is allegedly going to be somewhere with his new boots I shall have to go and check out and maybe take the piss that's he's now selling to us dinghy sailors...

I shall have a look at that new trapeze harness which isn't quite as expensive as I thought, especially compared to some harness prices we see in kiting these days.

There's a new quick little Streaker that might upset the applecart down the lake next winter I shall have a look at. Then there will inevitably be new foilers , so bound to be something else, so yes, every year I make the trip..
