Luff and foot measurements are :-

jib luff 3836 mm foot 1702 mm
mainsail luff 5639 mm foot 2657 mm derived from the black band positions, as far as I can see  the Ent class rules don't specify a measurement for the sail (though I assume they must on the measurement form) only that it must set within the bands.

If you have a suit of sails but they are unserviceable measure the luff and foot and post the measurements on here. I'll add them to the list and anybody with something that may be suitable can measure theirs.

FWIW the areas of the L2 main and jib are 8.9 M2 and 2.6 M2. which is not that much different to an Enterprise but I suspect the L2 main is higher aspect so the Ent main may be a bit long in the foot.

The Laser 3000 was basically the same hull with a different cockpit (and asym kite) was it not. How close were the main and jib to a L2?

You might get close and not be too unbalanced (though again it isn't a very active class).

The L2 kite was huge!! Had the biggest symmetric pole I have seen on a dinghy other than possibly an old symmetric cherub. You may be able to get a Fireball, 505, Scorpion kite to fit it without being too far off.

Remember though an Enterprise sail is not loose footed so might not work so well on a Laser 2 without some modifications.

L2 kite is around 10 m2, similar to a later Merlin kite. The L3k, I suspect, has a longer mast so probably won't fit an L2 stick, but it is slightly smaller at 8.6 m2 with a bigger jib and the assy kite is 2 1/2 m2 bigger than the L2 sym.

Tried a scorpion kite on a L2 and yes it does fit but it seemed to have a fuller cut, not so good at reaching as the standard L2 kite.

Old Laser Fun sails should fit ok. Same boat but didn't have a spinny.

Just noticed that Wiki says the L3k mast is 6.02 metres. Not sure how much that helps though as the L2 is deck stepped (and has a proper foredeck) and the L3k is stepped on the cockpit floor a few inches below where the foredeck would be if it had one.......

Of course if you have no sails then a measurement of the mast, boom and forestay will get you in the ball park  Embarrassed

The class measurement rules are still on laser 2 class website, had a quick look, doesn't appear to have measurements op needs.
Had a quick look at Enterprise main, lens foot should be easy to remove with a decent pair of scissors if they will do the job.
