+1, not the most comfortable boat to sail, easily eclipsed by the D0 and surprisingly the Solution. Having said that my tryout was the 9 and I often wonder had I tried the 7 maybe it might have felt a better 'balance' that 9 mtr is a long sail, dacron and the centre of effort moves about with the resulting effect on the ability to set the boat in a 'groove'.

The comfort thing is interesting and I wonder if some of it is down to individual taste and what we're used to. I haven't sailed an Aero but I have a D-Zero. I actually find the Zero uncomfortable to sail compared to an RS300, for example. The ergonomics of the Zero look good but my back hurts when I sit out. Is this because it is actually uncomfortable or because my body is more used to a 300, having sailed one for 15 years?

Any boat with a single central toe strap is going to be more comfortable for some people than others.
Assuming everone's legs are the same length is not a great starting point for an exercise in ergonomics.

Anyone who has sailed a 300 for any length of time, must by now have mutated into some form of alien condition consummate with the mentally retarded functionality the brain must adopt to get into one ever again having once tried it. There must be places 300 sailors can go to get the help they need these days, PTSD centres?

Well good luck to the Aero - that festival of sailing point was well made.

I'd suggest that 114 boats, whatever the rig, reflects it in action very nicely.

Perhaps this is arse about face, but rather than worry about what's said here about traditional regatta politics: lasers, radials etcand the historic BS and confusion of defunct RS classes where some of us got burnt; the sailing community should rally behind this boat as something that brings together adults of all varying sizes, crucially both genders and younger teenagers through to young adults.

If you want old and boring nit picking blokes, stay local in the Werthers Original chariot of your choice.

No, you have repeatedly done something very different which is to malign other sailors and the boat they sail. That's completely the opposite to what TT is saying, which is let other people enjoy their boat without criticism.

And you were "attacked" by several people on those grounds before anyone chimed in from the other side of the world.
