Hi Chris no need of a target with me. If I had wanted to get rid of you I would have done it when you were twelve when we sailed at warwick I think you do a great job with the yardsticks, its just Elaine and I are going to the show and wondered if you were. Duncan.

Ha ha, hello Duncan. Just been looking at pics from MWYC. Drove past yesterday morning on a tip run. Rock and roll. Saw the sails out. Oh to be 12 and back at WSC again!

For those who attended the Dinghy Show, how was it for you/ your class/ company? I thought it was pretty good, all stands talking of a very busy Saturday. Certainly we on the Osprey class assn stand had loads of visitors and interest, with people wanting a good look at our Mark V Osprey.
Quieter on Sunday as usual, but that means a great chance to look around the Show. Hope it stays at Alexandra Palace.

Definitely a quiet day on Sunday but plenty of interest on the D-Zero stand. Nice to meet you in person too Alan.

The chatter I heard is that Ali Pali is the likely venue next year but more of a priority is finding a new show sponsor.

I thought it was buzzier this year, certainly better than last even though there were a few not there I personally missed. Two car loads went up from the Redoubt and we were boat hunting for the Laser guys who were contemplating Streakers, I was on a mission for something to trapeze on the sea, then it was pay class dues man the stand for a bit and return having got the fix to kick this season off.
Plenty of PY moaning as per usual, foils gaining ground, I did stop to listen to what i think was David Henshalls lecture on boats at Olympic trials in the past, but it's not really my thing looking back to something I had no real part in, so I wandered off into the future..

I really enjoyed this year. The most 'sociable' one I've done in the last few years. I say sociable because I seemed to find myself at the bar far more than ever, in addition to bumping into people and sneaking onstage when Ullswater was awarded club of the year (I am a member up there, I wasn't trying my Jarvis Cocker Vs Michael Jackson routine).
Didn't actually look at too many boats to be honest.
The 300 has my name all over it in a year or so I reckon and that yellow canoe was lovely...as well as the I14 with the flash blue paint job.

Yeah, the craic was good with this one :-)

Mrs Fleaberto may see things a little differently.....

I really enjoyed this year, stayed pretty much planted on to the class stand, but talked boats with everyone and anyone interested. Seemed to me that there were fewer CA stands and more space in the halls than previously, but more people in general.

I for one think Alexandria palace is a classy venue that adds some grandeur to small sport, I understand its not particularly accessible but I hope it stays there.

Looking forward to finding how much a Hartley Contender costs if a Wayfarer is £10K.

Can't be bothered to run through 14 pages of what looks like (as usual) mostly inconsequential chat and bicker, but has there been any discussion of the Concours d'Elegance award?
