AIUI - the ban on homosexuality in the armed services was lifted in 2000, therefore by association service sailing clubs would have been homophobic by default up until the turn of the century. But your point is valid, that RYA video is a total joke - if anything undermining the very fabric of what is otherwise a liberal and tolerant sport.

The RYA presumably have guidelines for dealing with homophobia. It appears Y&Y do not. At least at the moment it doesn't. |

What I may or may not be in your perception Wing Wang is not the way I'm viewed in real life. That post was irrelevant to the discussion, which has as usual when some of the more cowardly posters do here when they scent blood and reach for the pitchforks turned into a personal affront on my good self and you are notorious in that regard also, so I can't help you I'm afraid. As far as I can see the case is proven not to be as discussed by your own admission and experience as an openly gay individual training school kids in a sailing club, if homophobia existed as is being claimed then you might have experienced it. What we now need is a case similar to the RYA example but an actual incident, which I very much doubt has occurred. |

Suggesting death camps for wood botherers is what passes for humour in some parts of the world, as does taking the piss out of others using terms like bender, gheyboy, ladies etc
Using those examples to suggest in some way I'm single handedly responsible for 'Homophobia' in sailing is as ridiculous as it is delusional. I absolutely hate whining 'offended' keyboard warriors, self important narcissistic authoritarians in love with the clatter of their own keyboards as they boom out disapproval. It makes you wonder if they really are geared for life on Earth, time to stop crying and grow up, everyone faces micro aggression, of some description or another, it's part of the real world. as I said Messers dunning and Kruger at play, also i'd love to understand the thought process where 'presumptions' which are observations based o nthe expressed behaviours and attitudes of ina individual are proof of Dunning-Kruger phenomena I would also suspect that GRF is unaware of the constant (and cumulative) micro -aggressions that are faced by any minority ... |

oh really I have made no presumptions in this thread , my comments about your bigotry and hate speech have been based entirely in the bigtory and hate speech that you yourself have typed. but then again someone who suggests Death camps for peopel who disagrees with them is really on to a loser in the first place ...
