I have a few KG to play with so i'm not worried luke, i have taken out the stumpy mainsheet tower as well, and with the carbon nomex deck and other bits and bobs i would hope she is fairly light but i will get her re weighed once complete!  having said that whats the point having a light hull but heavy tin rig!!

Its alright you can use weight correctors, nothing too bad

Whats wrong with just sugar? A common thing for 9er sailors to do is to cover wings etc in a thin layer of epoxy and stand down wind and chuck brown sugar in the air once the epoxy or whatever had set just wash it with warm water "sugar disolves" just leaving a nice grippy surface

OH RIGHT! I take back what I said about 60s wallpaper... More than 80s spacesuit LOL

Just kidding, Chris, it's very nice. And I can see it's a strong deterrent if anyone wants to kneel down!.

sorry somehow missed that post.

You can do it with epoxy or paint I think, same way of doing it. It is grippy enough, cheap, and if its a boat like a 9er keeps your crew off the deck

Epoxy is definitely the better way, but paint the cheaper

Has anyone used the treadcote paint?  I am thinking of purchasing some but it only comes in 1litre tins!  how many sheets does this realistically cover?
