Chris Bridges' "sugar soap" is rather painful on the knees and can shred wetsuits in no time. Besides, it's nowhere near as grippy as Progrip. And it doesn't come in funky colours (mind you, I have never seen any Demerara progrip ).
Makes your boat look like it's covered in that woodchip wallpaper from the 60s. Do you think it comes in magnolia?

Don't forget that the treadmaster will (should) have been weighed as part of the hull weight, so a reweighing would be necessary if you replace it with something lighter (subject to class rules, blah blah blah)

its good enough for a 49er because your never on your knees

Guess depends what boat it is but its grippy enough for me.

It doesn't actually look too bad, when I post the pictures you will see (when i find them). It looks blotchy on the pictures but its a sold silver colour to go with the rest of the boat and its just bumby, you can't really tell, I wouldn't say it looks like 60s wallpaper...

I have a few KG to play with so i'm not worried luke, i have taken out the stumpy mainsheet tower as well, and with the carbon nomex deck and other bits and bobs i would hope she is fairly light but i will get her re weighed once complete!  having said that whats the point having a light hull but heavy tin rig!!
