	because the wind only updates twice a day, not real time, a weather routing package is less useful than in real life

	I think I'm currently throwing all my hard earned gains out of the window trying to break through this high pressure band to the west. Every 12 hours it seems to move 12 hours away!

	Well it has all gone wrong! Will be lucky to finish this leg in the top 10000... My gamble to stay left of the rhum line really didnt pay off, if the wind was 5 degrees right i would have come out a bit happier, as it is I am now tacking up the coast in the trade winds which is not fast!

	I got very lucky at Mauritius and have managed to stay the favorable side. Still well over 24 hours behind the leader though...

	Some very strange forecasts for the next 24-48 hours, I have a chance to make some big gains if i can find the time to keep an eye on the boat for the next couple of days. I can see a few of the 10k warriors running aground as we make our way along the coast up towards the turning mark.

	Thanks, might ask santa for some, better than the usual socks or diy book. What I don't understand is if some of these boats have slightly different characteristics I am very close by photo gruitt and, both in 12 knots of breeze and both sailing at 42 degrees but he is going. 0.5 knots quicker (unless I have some virtual weed round the rudder:-).
