Hi everyone,
I'm posting from France (I'm french) so i hope you will foregive me for my poor English and spelling mistakes

I bought an RS200 last september in the uk because we don't find much in France. it's really a nice boat, and my boat handling is getting better and better (still some work to do to make her go fast )

two weeks ago in strong Wind we capsize after a gybe, and when i checked Inside the hull after sailing it was full of water (around 10 liters in the front and 5 liters in the back)
when we don't capzise the hull is dry every where.
I've checked every thing ans it seams to be tight and sealed. I Wonder if it can not come from the hatch (they sere closed and the seal on)

any idears?

10 litres after one capsize is more than likely the foredeck hatch. Check seal and tight fitting before you try anything else

Thank you riki for your fast repply.

I've checked the hatchs, they were close tight. The o ring was in but it´s old do you think I should change them? 
Also i wonder if it's a good idear if i remove the hatchs and refeat them with special silicon glue ( I don't know the word in english) and new pop rivet? What do you think?

As you work for Rs you may know nicolas honor the french rs dealer. I tried to call him but he may be in holiday

Know i'm scared to gybe, if i capsize 2 or 3 times and i get 30 litres of water..... Confused

The hatches leak on my 200. The front one leaked under the hull/hatch  or lower part, I removed the rivets, re sealed it and re-riveted.

The rear hatch doesn't sit on the "O" ring very well and leaks very badly. I'm thinking of putting a different type of hatch cover on this one.

I did a pressure test with soapy water and found small leaks around some of the fitting screws as well. I took the screws out and re sealed them when dry with a good silicon sealer.

Did you get  already as much water sa me in one cpasize?

I would do a pressure test on the boat yannik......Put the end of a hose in the bung hole, seal around the hose with blu-tac or something. Blow gently into the hose while some one else brushes soapy water around the boat and look for the bubbles. Check the likely areas: Hatch covers, screws, shroud plates, centre board slot, fittings, where the hull joins the deck under the gunwhale......there are breather holes between the pintles on the transom, these are supposed to be there, don't block them up.

Only blow gently into the hose, two or three gentle lung fulls otherwise you could damage the hull.

By the way: the front compartment and the rear are connected, they are on mine anyway.

Thank you for your advise i'll do so next time. If it comes from the hatch i'll change them by better one.

Your two compartments are connected? Which number is your 200? Mine is 502 i've double checked and i. Quite sure they aren't. I'll check again  Wink

Anyway it is realy a nice boat, it's a shame that we don' have much 200 in france (10 max in all france) nobody to race again Disapprove. 
In france it's the 500, 700 and 800 that is used most of the time

Unfortunately all the photos are missing from it though.

On ours one of the rivets holding the hatch cover in has failed and the rubber o-ring is starting to go under the hatch cover by it.

Good advice, but it may help just whilst doing a pressure leak test to temporarily cover the breather holes with blue tac or similar.

If I pour water in the front it comes out the back which makes sense. The connection is right at the bottom of the wooden bulkhead, a slight gap (5mm approx) either side of the upright that supports the mast step.   My boat number is 1066.
