If you do it this way the person is protected by the boat and they can either pull them self up over the beam or you can pull them up over it.

I was reminded (oops) of how easy it is to recover someone onto a B14 yesterday- carefully dip the wing and it is easy to slide on. Up, away, and chase down the only boat within striking distance.

I did a lovely recovery yesterday of someone's brand new glasses.  Thanks goodness for those floating glasses straps.
