from previous there you are two thicknesses of shim  at minimal cost - it's just a shame there aren't as many pointless free CDs about  as there used to be (AOL)  and that  even a whole tube of pringles isn't enough ofr many people as once they've popped they can't stop ..

This isn't about friction it's about packing it out so it stays central.  And I always find Jap tape comes off.

Any idea what material to use to pack a rudder head in a stock, or a board in a case?

And where to source it (in a hurry)?

I remember formica discs on old wooden boats.  Is there a modern equivalent?
