Does anyone know of any (cheaper?) alternatives to the
Crewsaver inflatable marks? I'm looking for a set of spare marks to be used when changing course, preferably in black |

Cylindrical/dumpies would be preferred. To be used in Southampton Water (sea/estuary). Thanks Alex, but I don't think they will be easily seen on a decent size course. I'm surprised you need them at PD, I thought you just bounced off the shore line

At Weston...just down the water from you, we use the pyramid from crewsaver, but have got some of the cylindrical ones from crewsaver too. We tried those plastimo ones and found them only any use for training, or small courses. http://www.crewsaver.co.uk/Crewsaver/Industrial_Commercial_P roducts/index.html?catid=46 |

yes we do a lot of that Our beats can be over a mile long and we don't have problems seeing them we've put a metre of chain attached to the buoy then the warp, then another metre of chain then the anchor. works really well in one of the most tidal places in the uk
