Its a shame to see them go, but a pleasure to think of the boat on boat racing they will get with 5.  Something the boat should have enjoyed more of in blighty.

Aussie Cymraeg - Dont know if I know you but am a Pwllhelli and Abersoch Veteran over last decade (Daydream and Daydream Believer plus F Word).  Dont think we will get toSCYC  Keelboat regatta this year (we did last year), but your on the doorstep so we will hopefully meet soon.  Have you considered Liverpool over winter, sheltered and lots of good racing, also cheap??

We are off to Scottish Series next month also, but no Royal Dee or Cork, boo hoo.  Wedding thing....

GBR 7629R Proper Job is now definately sold!

She left the UK yesterday via the Ramsgate-Ostend ferry, on her way to her new home waters a large lake just South East of Hamburg Germany. Please welcome her new owner Juergen to the site, where I am sure you will see her picture in due time.

Proper Job joins Zulu, Radio Star and at least two other Projection 762s that have emigrated to Germany (and the same new home waters) in the last couple of years. They seem to have found a comfortable niche! were their sailing qualities are appreciated both by owners and the yachting establishment.....enough said!

Although no longer a "Projectionist" I will still maintain an interested  watch over this thread and hope that it long continues to provide a useful link with and for Projection owners, were ever they are.

Happy sailing.

B

Well done Andrew and welcome to the Projection 762 Club.

You won't be disappointed and as Brys points out, they are probably the 'best bang for your bucks 25ft IRC boat around!!'

We had our first outing last Friday and managed to get line honours off a Beneteau 36.7 but it was quite fresh.

Well after 3 Guys that came fairly close to buying, I still have GBR7629R Proper Job up for sale. One fell after viewing due to his unrealistic expectations of a 10 year old tideway used boat. Another fell due to a deal arising on his doorstep and being 350miles from here! Another seems to have evaporated due to being unable to convince his sailing partner that the Projection is a terrrific boat (rather than a terrifying) boat to sail.

So come on all those who want to own one of the best 25 footers racing in IRC. A boat that gives more speed and great sailing per pound spent than anything else afloat (In mine and several others here opinions). Here is your chance...see the ad in classifieds and/or PM me through this forum. Pictures of boat appear earlier in this thread!

Hi Guys
My brother in law Arfon and I have bought Filthy Gorgeous
from Doug. She arrives on Wednesday.
We're sailing her in Pwllheli, and occasionally Abersoch,
so you can rest easy - she stays in the UK.
Great to see such a well populated and knowledgeable forum
to help get us started.
And we're keeping the name of course.
Andrew.

Hey Guys, keep them in the UK, they are too good a boat to export to Europe!!!
