The 'swing a cat' is actually a cat of nine tails (knotted ropes used to punish defaulters) not literally a cat. But I know what you mean |

I do "letters and stuff". For a long time, I worked in a multimedia company, translating and testing computer games. Got my hands on the first X-Box, the first GameCube, you name it, all the new consoles, long before they hit the British market. I've seen so many games I can't remember half of them. At Xmas 2003, we were given a copy of a kiddies' game (my forte - I'm also a teacher). I was playing along and had a look at the French version, just for a laugh. First of all, I was surprised to see that the translation was smooth and consistent. Then I got to the credits and I saw my name. I'd done the job myself and didn't remember!! |
