But hey, it's very flattering to have a topic to my name - even if it doesn't get many replies!!

Coffee is the ONLY way to survive. Tea's lovely when you feel really cold (like after too many capsizes in the Channel in October ), but coffee is part of my staple diet

Spot, it hurts....
(j/k, b4 I get all the common jokes about the war, the onions, the snails, frogs, arrogance, body odour, feminine shaving failure, Napoleon, Azincourt - with a Z - some would go back to William the Conqueror, add as many as you want I've heard them all )

i wanna try the british diet the next time i´m there! i´ve invented it
yesterday evening. maybe it helps you too: much coffee, jaffa cake and
at the main menue fish and chips. i´m in a big problem. on one hand i
should put on some punds for sailing cause me and my helm are too light
together, on the other the aspect of look...

hull, i always thought the boat was gay, then a nice guy told me boats
are girls.

wehad a tea towel listing reasons why ships (and boats) are female, when going into port they always head for the buoys (boys), they need an experienced man at the helm, without whom they are uncontrolable.. there were others but i cant remember them all.

I was on the Rooster stand yestersday where I tried one on. It is rather fitted around the hips, the top is quite loose. I felt really comfortable - until I saw the price!

Why are boats (& cars) women - because men generally waste hours and hours of time as well as thousands of pounds getting one and keeping it happy...

My Topper was given, ages before I got it, the highly imaginative name of "Topple" (if one of you did it ). As Contender443 was called "The Golden Snitch", I wanted to call it the Quaffle. But that's about six years ago, before the big HP craze. It sounds quite cheesy now... except that LWD, BWD's daughter, is thrilled cos she's a huge fan of the Potter boy! Not a bad choice after all...

Didn't you get the grades with your results? And are those subjects vital for your university/college course? If it's just because you wanted an A, I can understand, but I guarantee you'll have forgotten all your AS/A Level grades after your first year of Uni. Check what the university/college requires and don't create extra work for yourself!

It literally means: "To have other cats to whip", have better things to do...
In English, you would say: to have other fish to fry, I suppose.
And before you commiserate with French felines on their cruel treatment, think there is no room to swing a cat, catgut, etc. Six of one...
