if he was over the start line, it might confuse the race officer if it was different colours on different sides!

Jon yes i think red lasers look good- my dads is red. The royal blue topper looks best i reckon (what i've got)

Yeah the idea was to confuse the race officer ('it's the red, no green boat which is over line / hit that mark' etc etc), as well confusing the other competitors ('hahaha the white scorpion has capsized', or we seem to have lost the red scorpion (when it's actually on the other tack and now green etc).

Can't remember if he got the colours the right way round, I think so but it was a long time ago. I have seen others stick red/green tape to their boom to remember port/s'board!

i dont think the red and green thing would work on the competetos cos they will walk around the boat park and see that the boat is red and green but the race officals might just be dumb enoth to fool them !!!

Nah it can confuse the competitors, we have a red/green cadet and it did manage to confuse my crew at one point.

We once taped our names onto the boom of our 29er in a failed attempt to look more proffesional, and took to refering to the tacks by our names (I was port btw), that certainly confused a few ppl!
