I remember seeing a Tornado on foils at Speed Week many years ago. And then there was Mayfly remember her - she foiled consistently.

I've sort of got it in mind that it would be fun to make a two element wing sail (ie "solid" wing like a C class) for a Topper, but I don't suppose I'll ever get the time. Jim C Edited by JimC |

The hulls too heavy and the sail is not powerful enough. Wrong sort of sail too. The Topper sail is good for acceleration but much too high drag to cope with the narrow apparent wind angle produced by foiling speeds.
