Don't think I'll be able to make it. Our club is inaccessible at the moment so can't pick the boat up. (+ I looked over the dam this morning and the windchill was about - lots).

The club have been good at keeping me posted with news, thanks to Catherine Rawson, the Club Secretary. If I hear anything then it will be posted as news on YachtsandYachting.com and in this thread.

Do I go and dig a foot of snow off my boat and then dig a
route to get it out of the sailing club? Weather is
looking sunnier...

Update on their Website, they are anouncing at 2pm today.

With numerous fatalities round the country due to the weather, and the local council rapidly running out of grit you have to seriously question whether running the event would be a responsible act...

But nobody is being forced to attend and can make a responsible decision about travelling for themselves. If the event does go ahead then I guess the turnout will be low.

Wont be that many takers from Burghfield - they can't get out of their dinghy park - "The driveway is currently impassable with a normal car as it is under a good 10 inches of snow"
