Not a chance. I wouldn't consider taking the 12 (far too many other boats to spear), and the canoe's in the garage undergoing open-heart weight-loss surgery. and anyway, it's too bloody cold. |

Have you seen Winguru for QM for the next week? From Tuesday to Friday the temperature is not going to get above freezing. Does QM ever freeze over?

I remember sailing the BM years ago in my bright orange GP when it was sooooo cold we were freezing to the decks and had to give up because the control lines were freezing solid. I think the start was delayed because of ice on the pontoons and slipways. I don't think I have ever been so cold whilst sailing - but hey ho you just get warm again.
Back then in the 70/80s I was a member of QMSC for a few years and I never recall it it freezing, I think there is too much movement in the water. |

Last year was bloody cold, all the blocks and cleats froze over on my 200. my mates canoe self taker froze and as such the boat was virtually un sailable! that and the sliding seat was a challenge to say the least!!

Last year my board froze in the case and it took 3 kettles of water to free it!
