yes but it's a very hard job to make a very good boat because if it was easy there would be one on the market at the moment

i dont think all these comprimise boats are very good. like the pico, feva, vago etc... they are all for both single and doulble handers. there should either be a singlehander or a double hander, but not both!

Hmm yeah that would be a good idea but then you can't sail it in bigger winds really because you are meant to be able to sail a Vago single handed but i dont think many juniors would keep that up single handed in a F5+ |

Surely a RS 500 would have to compete with a 29er, ISO, 4000 range 2 man single trapeze!!

i think it is cos the manufactures think if it is cheap teenages will buy it and they wont cos teenages wont a cool fast boat not a cheap slow one.

why do all the manufacturagers think that a teenager doublehander has to be ROTO-moulded?

This is not necessarily anything to do with laminar flow vs. turbulent flow sections though - the laser dagger board is NOT a laminar flow section. What you describe for the laser is a case of the foil operating at too high an angle of attack so it stalls. The Tasar and Laser 2 both have laminar flow sections and personally speaking I haven't found them too thin to stand on... |
