All this talk of swiming in Bala...There is open 1K event in July http://www.bldsa-bala-swim.co.uk/ No wetsuits allowed, I hope the lake might be a bit warmer by then!

Will let you know in September when I visit there for the inlands. It is not far off the A5 though if memory serves (I think it is the A5 thats runs through Wales anyway).....
