Mike will be able to give a proper answer but I believe the prototype Blaze Fire had a smaller sail (which has been adopted) and narrower one piece carbon wings (which haven't) on an otherwise standard Blaze hull and rig. As an older sailor at the lighter end of the Blaze range I can testify that the Fire sail is very nice indeed.

Sounds good to me!!

What's this about the "carbon wings you designed for the Fire"??

RS600 - with that leech??!! Isn't that why/how the Blaze X came about?

All you have to do ... is take the wings off  and leave correctors out !  It is pretty light anyway....  and could beat 50K as it stands ... But we think you might still like a bit of leverage really....  Wink

You did indeed and I'd just been talking to them about making it and or the Contender down to a weight that I could move about without getting a hernia (< 50kgs)in and fitting a trapeze to. Then I really would have  been drooling.

It would also cure the same issue with the Blaze as well, still agree with me now? ;-)

I doubt the Blaze could suffer from not being identified correectly !  ...  even at the Royal Torbay.  We even found you drooling over the Blaze again, this time at the Hartley stand  a week or two ago and of course you do recognise the boat....
