Funny, never had you down as a GP14 sailor... do you wear a funny hat?

The again, right up North, you're probably more likely to have one of these...

I don't have a beard! GP14..... ooooh too fast and new fangled for me

Hi 2547
I live central south coast and it would still be as quick to NEC. Ally Pally is a Lovely building but I go to look at boats, bits etc not the building. I wasted about half an hour trying to find somewhere to park as the car parks were full and then due to an accident on the North Circular another hour and a half getting home( plus 40 minutes due to car problems)

I'd vote for a return to Pickett's Lock.  Despite the apparently similar location to Ally Pally, I seem to recall it is a lot easier to access by car.

Just getting onto the North Circular after leaving Ally Pally always takes an age.  We left early this year, but same old problem.  Odd, as driving in at 09:30 was, as usual, a breeze.

Mark, you'll have to post the pic of Alex Scoles OK.
I know you took at least one as I was stood drooling over the deck as you took it :)

As for the aero, Martin reproduced the lift above with his wife, cue loads of RS guys hovering and lurching forward everytime the bow went up or down hehehe!!!!

Congrats- enjoy your new boat. If you end up with more than one hull in th family then that stacking system is utterly genius. That to me is the USP as so far we don't know the all up sailing weight do we?

A few people were lifting the Aero 7 when i passed, it lifted with ease, even they were suprised

The Aero is incredibly easy to lift! Photo by Tom Gruitt / www.tom-gruitt.co.uk

Mark,

we want the photo with the Ladies doing that

(BTW the red headed one who you probably couldn't quite recognise was Clare (sorry to disappoint if you thought her smiles were flirting!).  She's gone short haired.

You would save that car parking charge as you wold not have to spend half an hour or more struggling to get to Ally Pally through north London traffic.

Our extreme northern friends could even fly into Birmingham Airport and walk over (border controls permitting).

NEC is fine, but the cost would be more, because if you go to small shows there, you have to pay to park. This would add £5 to £10 to the cost.

Quite agree that Ally Pally is lovely - looking out over the londo skyline, pretty building and all that, but once inside I'm not sure it makes much difference where you are, and the journey really is foul.

I have no clue on the prices at the NEC, or what it is like, as I've never been there, but there must be similar shows - camping ones and the like - which can't be much more to get in?

Bewl? You wouldn't last five minutes there, they have a disciplinary committee, you get hauled up before it for things like sailing to fast...
