Just been reading about the Bart logo contest - is the obvious drawing style for it out of bounds for legal reasons, do you think?

Back on subject it seems our club may have an event booked already which would be difficult to bring into the spirit of this event so I will be looking to sail at another club or sail with someone else somewhere.
Roger if enough of us want to sail it we'll find a way. We're in.
Now to twist the sailing secretary's arm as even the Gilmer interclub match could accommodate this one race as part of the event.

And you might have been the chair but you did a good job as commode. Smile

It's in the centre diary, not sure about the sea club. There is a cat open that weekend, so probably not.

No, because your score is your percentage of the average corrected time in your race, not in every race.

Won't the place with the most wind produce the winner? Assuming it isn't getting blown flat weather.

But, as Dougal says, that really isn't the point, and I hope our club and loads of others join in with this.

Simple enough. You normalise all corrected times against a standard and convert.

Probably as good as any is to use the old PY "poor performers" algorithm to exclude the bottom end of the fleet - novices and capsizers - then average all the other corrected times. Then convert each boat's individual corrected time to a percentage of the average corrected time. Put all the results together and the crew with the lowest figure wins.
