I reckon you all had more breeze than what's forecast this weekend...

National Watersports Festival- Hayling
RS100 Nationals- Hayling
Lymington Town Regatta (D-Ones) - Lymington

The D-Ones and 100s will get by, though the wind won't be the most thrilling, however windsurfing, on shortboards, in a light offshore breeze that won't be enough for planing...  eeeewww.

I'm thinking of heading west to Cornwall instead, at least these sh*tey northerly winds can be put to better use down there.

Not only the cakes, either - Lasagne on the 1st evening, BBQ on the 2nd, with tons of yummy veggie food, by people who don't think that a vegetable is a substitute for protein! And enough lunch that getting back in a boat was almost defeated by wanting a nap...

The sailing was fun, too, especially from my point of view having 8 Minisails out there, including a brand new one.

ironically the forecast for draycote is very nice- from a solo perspective anyway.

the best use of my all weekend pass would probably be sail in our short course racing saturday, go home and go out with friends saturday night, before then heading straight back to the club for the last of the 3 race sundays....

... however, I'm 'booked in' for the NWF and feeling pretty committed to that (not dissimilar from a guilt trip from the class association that's booked an open with a sailing club and the numbers start dropping like flies when the Guru has her say).  Plus I'm picking up a new mast there.  Plus I've already paid for it....

Committing to sailing events ahead of the forecast... guess I ought to learn my lesson.  Cry
