Ha ha, I hate it when that happens .........

Why not phone Dave Hall for a test sail or even find a local 49er and RS800, I reckon you'll not consider anything else once you've had a shot of the 9er

Only sailed a 49er once - absolutely brilliant. The acceleration threw me off the back and yet it was quite steady once you settle down - mind you this was only in a F2.

Sailed RS more - still excellent but not quite the same blast and if its light there's no comparison. But you can sail them in F5 and still sail rather than survive - not sure you can do that in a 9er unless you're very well practised.  Hence need for a reliable and b?**dy good crew - they do most of the graft!

pro wannabe, B14s? good choice!!  there are a few people in the fleet looking for crews at the moment, as those that can make the worlds are pairing up for the season and those that can't are a bit lost.  There are places on quick boats whether or not you can make the worlds, best suggestion is put a note on the class website www.b14.org Also if you want a boat of your own there are some quick boats up for sale now, get them while you can!
