I dunno - there's a guy making a totally mind-blowing product, at a price point that should inspire future generations of entrepreneurs and fabricators to look at dinghy racing for a career path.  
It's applied into a niche market at the pinnacle of the sport and will have naff all effect of the club competitiveness of a 15 year old Laser ... 
 yet we seem to knock it because we either can't afford it, are probably not good enough to even use it or simply don't sail in the circles that would make that sort of competitive advantage pay.

at a time when a whole bunch of over-paid, underwhelming dullards are booting leather around grass in Russia, I think it's fair to say the very concept of "cheque book sailing" is rather moot by global sporting standards.
