Will RS be bringing a board out soon?! Plenty of views on the Y&Y forum as to what it should be like...

well they've already got a bloke on the ground at the world's* globe's largest board manufacturer - CMI Thailand.... it's where the RS100 is made.

* I must not to use the term 'world' when referring to RS sailing, RS events etc  until such time as there is an IJ on station to clarify the class rules.  'Global', 'Glow Ball' or even 'Goebbels' would be more acceptable nomenclature  LOL

Yes I love my Vareo and it’s a lot of fun and perfect for me as I am fairly new to sailing

I suppose this hypothetical question stems from my limited amount of exposure to other boats.  I have sailed all the club boats and a few cats on holidays but nothing to “exotic”.  We had the Vortex national at YDSC the other week and watching 15+ of them all popping kites and screaming downwind did look like a lot of fun.  I suppose it’s like your perfect weekend car.  You are happy doing the daily commute in the Volvo but would like a two seater sports car in the garage for the occasional weekend blast.

I think this post is going to cost me, it has reminded me about Classic International 14s, my favourite was my 1976 Opus II, a really beautiful cold moulded Charlie Bullock design that I used to sail with Vicky. Anybody got a set of drawings?

Oh, well, if we aren't worried about actually having to sail or be at a location with it except in our heads, then for me it would be an A Class Cat off a very large lake in Europe, a Swift Solo somewhere nice in America, a windsurfer Robbie Naish style in Hawaii, or (and this one it is only the location that is the problem) a Sunfish parked on the beach next to the Hobie cat by a beach bar in Barbados.

Ah, that all sounds better than a small gravel pit in Wiltshire... though actually, the Lightning would be nice in those locations, too - apart from on Jaws with Robbie, of course!

But if pressed you might have to admit that the petrol money to go and pick them up would be quite substantial...
