Its turned ito a bit of a farse now really, Club Med against Enza with that head start, foregone conclusion really. I know there has been a bit of bad luk but still, you have to ask if there is much point in finishing it.

Well Doha 2006 (ex Club Med) could also lose their mast and hey presto Tony Bullimore just needs to finish to win the grand prize. Isn't it a million dollar prize? But I agree it has been a bit of a boring race hasn't it? I remember The Race was also a bit of a one horse race and pretty boring. |

It's all relative - if the Ellen hadn't broken the record and the Vendee hadn't had such a good finish would you have thought the same? But I suggest it looks unlikely to be a roaring success that will grow to dominate the RTW calendar in the future... |
