I unfortunately don't have a lot of choice in the matter. I drive a clio 1.9
Diesel as that is all i can afford. It was donated by my mates dad when i
pranged my old car and I can't afford to buy anything else! She's a beauty
though, does at least 10p a mile however she is driven, has the torque to
tow a stacker, has looks most so called sports cars would kill for and she
has rust..... perfect.

oh.... and i have a cherub (can't win 'em all eh?!)

Of course you have a choice ... everything in life is a choice (apart from
health; and we can make significant choices over that) ... your current
position is a function of the choices you have made to date; there are
others who have made different choices and have perhaps different
options.

There is no right & wrong but for sure there is plenty of choice in life ...

Blimey, that's a bit deep for such a shallow thread See my signature

Oh and by the way guys Luke has been teaching sailing all week so hasnt had acess to a pc recentely. But we either tow the 4k with a mondeo or a Vauxhall cavalier. Boat and cars both average performance but a lot of boat/car for your money's worth.

My main transport has always been a bike, and I've moved from Cherubs to Canoes. Less horsepower and a lot less weight and size has always appealed to me. As the sticker went:-

"Your other car may be a Porsche, but my bike will p**s on that too."

As for 4 wheeled things, whatever has a towbar does me. The most I've ever spent n a car is 200 quid.

on the subject of boats and bike's i think my little scooter is very similar to a cherub

loud, short, made with superglue, had carbon weave on it even if it is a sticker, also it can be updated with new exhaust just like u guys upgradeing ur sails etc, also the chavs have got very good and breacking them/building them again!!

I really liked Iain C's list. Here's a few more:

Contender - Audi URQuattro (the original turbonutter motor)

National 12 - Triumph TR4 - beautiful, makes all the right noises, their owners spend a fortune on them, not actually that quick.

GP14 - Volvo 240 estate - Big fat & ugly. Available in go faster form.

Scorpion - Mazda MX5 - Owners love it, invariably owned by tiny people.

Enterprise - Volvo C70 - Once it's going it has colossal momentum. Misguided individuals think its sporty

Javelin - Bentley Arnage - Huge, heavy, scary when its bearing down on you, astoundingly fast and beautiful in a traditional way

I14 - Porsche 911 Turbo - various generations, all classics, all scary.

BOSS - Porsche 928 - The be all and end all when it came out. Fat, overweight and misguided in retrospect.

Heron - Volvo 340. zzzzzzzz

For the record I sail an RS300 and drive a BMW 1 series. Controversial looks, great handling and goes reasonably quickly. Both have a fat arse...

Not all chemicals are bad. Without chemicals such as hydrogen and
oxygen, for example, there would be no way to make water, a vital
ingredient in beer.

It hasn't made it to the club yet!  Love Intergrales but they're a bit much as a second car
