it was good to see hoy win. i was a tad disapointed that ben didnt feature. but then the standard was so high. in fact lewis hamilton probably did the least to be up there lol. dont get me wrong what he did was great and i loved it and he represented britain well. but it was only 1 world championship, ben also won one. im more annoyed that the sailing team didnt get a mention in the team of the year! |

I think it was good Ben made the last 10 really; his achievements are fantastic and he's very possibly the best there has ever been but he dosn't seem that bothered/keen to be in the media. That's fair enough but without the desire to be in the media, or at least accept you have to do some of it, then you don't win SPOTY, I suspect Ben's not that bothered and after the cheeky girl incident prefers the low profile. |

Or an America's Cup. I thought the other sailors were treated very poorly. Can't see how they can nominate the entire Olympic team and then the Cycling team within that team for the same award. The Yngling team should of won IMO. Not sure why we had to have coverage of the European Soccer when no UK teams even qualified.
